Not what you know, but who you know

The marathon to proving yourself is long

So we must run & forget even breathlessness

But success is a fleeting thing

While it crystallizes in the river of time,

We’ve got not choice but to continue fighting the waves

Caught in the endless currents from goal to goal

While they get harder to catch, we get easier to anger

So, what happens in between?

Maybe we’ll get a little lost

Woooooshhhhhhh.

Maybe we’ll accidentally inhale a whiff of fresh air

Hmmmmm, pine.

Maybe you look at the sun with a little reluctance,

but it embraces you with overwhelming warmth

So you’ve got no choice but to admit:

.... Its kinda nice here

Can I stay just a little longer?

I prefer the sounds and smells here

I prefer myself here

You don’t have to know everything

And do it all perfectly

To deserve a place in this world
